The preserving of the best general appearance throughout the lifetime of brand image clothing is closely linked to the technical properties of the fabric used for its production :

- so that comfort is maintained

- all the colours applied to the fabric must have the best general properties as regards colourfastness on exposure to light, rubbing, solvents, etc

- in the case of multi-coloured garments it is vital that the colours don't run together (bleeding) following washing, drying or dry-cleaning

- for optimum ease of cleaning the fabric must offer :
   . good dimensional stability on repeated washing
   . good detachability
   . good dryability

- the maintaining of the clothing's best appearance requires a fabric with excellent crease resistance.
